It is now nearly five years since Target
Chartered Accountants was launched in its current form. That’s
also how long we’ve been sponsoring the Bath & District Youth
Cricket League. Our involvement has been consistently rewarding and
we see our contribution to the league as a key part of our place in
the local community. Many of our clients are businesses or
individuals in the Bath area – our local roots are important to
us.
The league continues to thrive, with twenty four
clubs and over eighty teams. The two girls’ teams look likely to
increase in number in the near future, with other clubs showing
interest.
With around 500 games played during the season,
the league remains an excellent part of a County hopeful’s
portfolio. There are many examples of players going on to acquire
County caps. At the other end of the spectrum, ‘Kwik’ cricket
tournaments are rapidly growing in popularity, helping to encourage
ever younger entrants to the sport.
We can’t wait to see what unfolds in the summer
2007 season and as always we wish the best for all the young
players. Good luck to everyone taking part.
